Of course I'm right! And I've got a golden opportunity for you!! Haha! Planning your life here! Well, a bit at least.
We all know you should, and want to go back to playing again. But like you also said -it should be fun!! I'm sat here at work, really happy being able to 'use the system' for something else than working... making use of my access to phones, computer, photo-copier, etc... so this is really a brilliant opportunity for me as well!
What's going on is that two friends of mine, play in a really good band called Anticonceptivas. We're talking people in chicken costumes playing some sort of un-orthodox punk. And it's brilliant!! (and definately fun!) And they've been thinking of going to England and play, coz they've never been, and we were thinkning if it would be possible to sort out some sort of mini-tour for them. Late january/early february. They're really open about dates and stuff, though -both of them are on the dole, so whenever things work out in general, that's fine with them!
Do you think it would be possible to sort something out?? If so, I'm thinking of coming with, because it sounds like great fun (we like fun! :-), and it would only be for a couple of days, playing four dates (preliminary); thursday - sunday. So like Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh (I want to go to Scotland!) for example. Hrm. That's actually 5 dates though, but something like that. I don't really know. I have no idea where (if at all) it would be possible to get anything going.. but it it works out, it would be brilliant! We're at least thinking playing liverpool friday or saturday, in order to make the most of it.
Like i said, it's only the two of them. They have no drumkit or anything like that (they don't need one), just guitars, mp3-player, etc. And I guess the easiest thing would be for them to go on tour with someone else; I mean with equipment, van, etc..
I don't know, what do you think? Do you reckon we could sort something out? Do we have any contacts? Do you want to go on a mini-tour, just for a long-weekend with cool people?? Do you want to start playing again? I do...
Anyway. I sort of seem to believe it's already Christmas or someting, so I feel really stressed, but there's actually still some months to go, so we're alright with time at least. And like I said; they have no preference at all as to when, where, how, bla bla bla. (and they are GOOD! One of my new favourite bands!), it's just that they would like to get away, and do something.
Long email. Please get back to me and tell me what you think. I think it sounds great, but I'm not the one in a position to get things sorted out, so I can't really say....
